Animal Cruelty and the Make-up Industry We share the privilege of sharing souls with animals, so it becomes our duty to be the voice of these voiceless creatures. It is needed to protect their lives and co exist with them. The makeup and cosmetics industry has its own set of dark secrets such as animal testing, which is an extremely gruesome act. Animals such as bunnies, small pups etc. are kept in harsh conditions and are injected with lethal formulas to test their impact. There are some global brands that have became aware and have decided to end this cruel process. Through out the world several countries have banned animal testing. India being one of them. There are some highly popular brands that are producing products without animal testing. These make up and skin care brands are approved by PETA. Supporting these brands will make a difference in creating a better world for animals. The question arises is that how can one find out about these brands? Look for any of a bunny or a leaping bunny logo on the packaging. Some products are cruelty-free and PETA approved written on them which makes it easier. Big brands like 'Body shop' which was formerly owned by L’Oreal is a cruelty free brand. Lush Cosmetics was one of the brands has strongly promoted going cruelty free and has set an example for several others developing brands in asian countries. Japanese brands such as Shiro, MiMC, Ruhaku, Three, Aqua Organic, Do Organic etc are organic and cruelty free. These brands aim at creating products that make a difference and promote natural goodness rather than harming animals. [1] CRUELTY-FREE" OR "VEGAN" SKIN CARE PRODUCT are the new favourites in the korean skin care regime. K-beauty which has always been popular amongst skin care enthusiasts has introduced brands that produce products of very good quality and do not damage the animals. Popular brands such as Klairs, by Wishtrend, I’m form, glow recipe, COSRAX, skin&lab etc are working for the same. [2] Talking about basics, such as face wash, moisturisers have always been Tested on Animals. Upcoming Indian brands such as 'Plump Goodness', 'Juicy Chemistry' have been recognised by PETA for their cruelty free products and good quality. It is surprising that small upcoming brands are making initiative of producing products which are completely quality free and vegan but big brands like Mac and Sephora do not indulge in the same practice. To make a big change small steps should be taken and by investing in cruelty free products that small steps can be taken by every individual. I read your detailed explanation on how cosmetic industry is incurring harmful effects on animals well. I agree that animal rights should not be sacrificed for humans' joy. Then, it's all about consumer choices that will prevent this from happening. Consumers should be responsible when they are shopping, not choosing products if they are made after animal experimentation.

I read the article about animal welfare well. In fact, the use of weaker animals for the benefit of the people has been a problem for a long time. In fact, some companies use the technology to artificially mimic or clone animal organs or skin to solve the problem of animal abuse in animal testing! Of course, these techniques are not without ethical problems, but at least they are not using complete life forms, so they are less ethical!

Its soo heart wrenching to see how beauty of nature i.e animals are killed and exploited just to enhance the outer beauty of humans.
I literally hope the rules and policies regarding it be implemented very strictly to conserve the animals from extinction.
