[Thematic report] Eco-friendly mobility in Rwanda

by Kevin RUSAGARA IRAGUHA | 20-11-2020 01:06 recommendations 0

The government of Rwanda is now set on to build a green city which will even happen to be the first to be built n Africa.
And this green city being the first, it is expected to be surrounded by only eco-friendly facilities and only eco-friendly projects will be carried out from there.

This city is expected to never ever face any kind of air pollution or other cases of un-eco-friendly activities and hence the government of Rwanda is starting to bring up some measures to help in the implementation of the green city and some of those measures also include the mobility measures.

And here, it is where the eco-friendly motorcycles emerge in the pavement. Rwanda is paving a way to put in place the eco friendly motorcycles and hence observing what change it will make to reduce the emission of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.

Electronic transport is also a greener alternative to greener mobility. these eco-friendly motorcycles which are also electric, they are designed to reduce greenhouse gases emissions in the atmosphere by 75% compared to other motorcycles that use gasoline in Rwanda hence a substantial reduction and a great achievement towards achieving the greener city that Rwanda is aiming at.

And some of the ways that Rwanda is putting in place to achieve this greener city is putting charging stations as a mean of clean transport and eco-friendly mobility in Rwanda.

Basically, Rwanda is leading in a way that will help reduce the greenhouse gases emission on a substantial rate hence a great achievement and  this will help utilize the renewable energies and eco-friendly designs and more over the outlook.
How I wish other countries would adapt this!!!!!!!

Green cheers!!

    Hello Kevin!
    It's your SJ mentor.

Thank you for introducing Rwanda's trend toward sustainable mobility.
It is great to hear that the first green city in Africa will be built in Rwanda.
In Korea due to high expense people hesitate to replace engine car to electric/fuel cell electric vehicles.
But for motorcycles there are a lot of cheaper ones than engine motorcycle as a result of government's subsidy.
I hope more nations get involve in such green waves as like Rwanda.
Keep up with your hard work!
    Green cheers!

    Best regards,
    SJ mentor.

    Hello Kevin,
    this is your mentor WooJoo.

Thank you for sharing your report about eco-friendly mobility in Rwanda.
I am happy to hear that Rwanda is set on to build eco-city,
including the use of renewable energy and eco-mobilities.
In South Korea, various types of electric cars are on sale, but actually many people can't afford to buy it yet, due to its high cost.
I am interested if same problem is going on with the eco-friendly motocycles in your country.
Hopefully a mobility with lower cost, and greater efficiency to reduce the greenhouse gases are developed.
I believe that Rwanda will be a green city soon!

    Green cheers!

    Regards,
    WooJoo
