[Free Report] COVID-19 and the Evironment |
---|
by Jaewon Chang | 17-12-2020 20:41 0 |
Earlier this year, I recall writing an ambassador report under the topic of COVID-19 and its benefits on the environment. Back when COVID-19 forced many things to become virtual, air pollution levels and carbon emission numbers were significantly lower. However, this may not be the case.
When considering the long-term effect of COVID-19 on our environment, researchers suggest the possible negative effects it may instead cause. When restrictions associated with COVID-19 are lowered, we may simply revert back to our initial production rates (producing the same amounts of air pollution as we did prior to COVID-19). In China for example, many factories and companies were pushed to cover up for all the time they'd lost when restrictions were in place. As a result, air pollution levels drastically increased during early May this year. Similar observations can be hypothesized for other countries. Therefore, it is essential that we keep this in mind, acknowledging the possible effect of our actions post-covid on the environment.

Hello Jaewon!
It's your SJ mentor.
Warm greetings from Korea!
Thank you for sharing your valuable report.
Due to the Covid-19, the plant's operation rate decreased in early 2020, reducing carbon dioxide emissions.
In Korea, we could see clear blue sky after a long time.
However, as it did after the 2008 financial crisis, the plant operation rate has increased dramatically again.
I think we need to rush and prevent climate change.
Thanks for nice report. I will root for you the whole time.
Best regards,
SJ mentor.

Hello Jaewon,
this is your mentor WooJoo.
I hope you are doing well.
Thank you for sharing such a helpful report dealing with the relationship between the ongoing pandemic and the environment.
Although this year was a pain for us,
fortunately we experienced fresh air and clean water that we weren't able to observe over the past decade.
Long-term effects may include the increased usage of disposable masks and plastics, which can lead to a greater pollution.
Now that we have seen human activities are the reason for climate change
we must enhance our awareness and protect the environment.
Again, remember that each report has to be longer than 20 lines at minimum,
and I think your report is shorter than that.
Please share bit more with us.
Regards,
WooJoo
