The fauna of Kazakhstan is rich. It includes 180 species of mammals, 500 species of birds, 52 species of reptiles, 12 species of amphibians, and over 100 species of fish. There are ten reserves on the territory of Kazakhstan. Their main aim is to preserve rare animals, birds, and plants. The Aksu-Dzhabagly reserve occupies an area in the South Kazakhstan and Zhambyl regions. There is a snow leopard here, which is in the Red Book. Reserve "Alma-Atinsky" is located in the Almaty region, which is created to protect and study the natural complexes of the Northern Tien Shan. Reserve "Barsakelmes" is located in the Aral district of the Kyzylorda region. This nature reserve has extreme ecological conditions, located in the zone of a global ecological disaster due to a decrease in the level of the Aral Sea. The Karatau reserve is located in the Turkestan region of the South Kazakhstan region. It protects the population of the rare Karatau's argali and endemic plants, created in 2004. Reserve Kurgaldzhinsky is located in North Kazakhstan. It is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. The Markakol reserve is located in the Kurchum district of the East Kazakhstan region to preserve the unique Markakol lake and its surrounding landscapes. The Naurzum reserve is located in the Kostanay region. The main aim of the reserve is to preserve the flora and fauna of the steppe zone of Northern Kazakhstan and study. The Ustyurt reserve is unique in its natural appearance of the Aral-Caspian watershed, within which the vast rubble-rocky Ustyurt plateau is located. It preserves the natural state of the natural complex of the northern deserts of the Ustyurt plateau, including many rare species of fauna and flora. Kazakhstan has many beautiful places. These reserves are clear evidence of it. It is vital to preserving the natural diversity of Kazakhstan.

Hello Amina!
It's your SJ mentor.
Thank you for writing an article introducing the animal sanctuary in Kazakhstan.
As the natural environment was developed due to industrialization, many of the habitats of animals and plants disappeared.
Korea also designated a national park to protect living things.
In order to protect nature, rest system is introduced to prevent human access for a certain period of time.
I wonder which efforts Kazakhstan is making to protect the ecosystem.
Please also leave a source for the picture.
Green cheers!
Best regards,
SJ mentor.

Hello Amina,
this is your mentor WooJoo.
Thank you for introducing us the fauna of Kazakhstan!
I didn't know that the fauna of Kazakhstan was so rich,
and there are so many reserves to protect and preserve the ecosystem.
It would be great if you can show us photos of each reserve for better understanding.
Hopefully the species in Red Book are well cared and preserved so that our next generation can view the beautiful flora and fauna as well.
Keep sharing
Regards,
WooJoo
