Dear all,
Hope you are doing well. Today, I would like to write a free report on the topic of environmental volunteering. First and foremost, let's define what does volunteering mean, from my personal dictionary. As for me this is a job done by heart to contribute to the particular task without any charges. Yet, there is a definition of community service which you do for the sake of community only! Nowadays, there are majority of the volunteering opportunities for passionate environmentalists. Yet, during the pandemic you may wonder if it is possible to pursue. My answer is YES! UN, UNEP, UNDP are providing amazing opportunities to do virtually. Basically, it is about raising awareness, helping your community not abroad, and many more. Before you apply to any opportunities, ask yourself what you can give and you will see what you will get. Also, would like to mention one of my favourite quotes by unique philosophers: If I was asked to do, I would answer to do and to be good. Doing something that you love the most is something really precious, hence, do appreciate such opportunities to change the world and be the change maker. The last but not the least, you would ask where do I find such volunteering opportunities. I would love to share with you some resources which you may find useful. Hope I could convey, thanks! -https://www.goeco.org -https://www.volunteerworld.com/en/volunteer-abroad/environment -https://www.volunteerhq.org/volunteer-abroad-projects/environment-and-conservation/

Hi Vazira,
This is your mentor Debbie. :)

Volunteering is not a common topic we get here at Tunza - thank you for making this community a more diverse one! :) I have to agree with you that before we apply for any volunteering, we must think about what we can contribute to the work and what we hope to get out of the volunteering work. Merely thinking about how I could help or what I should do is okay too but we should focus on really finding out what we can do. Also if we have something that we are expecting to get out of, it keeps us going for a longer period of volunteering work as well.
Green Cheers! :D

Hi Vazira, this is your mentor Yuseon:D
Thank you for your report about environmental volunteering.
It is true that because of the pandemic situation, it became hard to pursue face-to-face voluteering activities. I guess this is why programs such as eco-generation and the platform 'Tunza' gets to have the spotlight. We can still communicate with each other through this platform and share some useful information considering the environment.
Also thanks for sharing the sites of resources where we could find good opportunities of environmental volunteering.
Keep up the good work!

Vazira,
I loved this report and I definitely recommend it, I'd also like to share this quote "The power of success is that a single success can outweigh thousands of failures."
Keep sharing
