Dear all,
Hope you are doing well. The huge and small enterprises still go on, yet we never thought if big or tiny corporations impact. You would wonder why I am writing this. Before buying luxurious phone, any gadgets, or water from which we don't use plastic bottles anymore we never think deeper if all these materials are recycled. Yes! We need to mention that there is a lot being done for recycling, yet, the air we breath could definitely be much better. Hence, businesses need to have a strict manufacturing or any types of environmental solution. We, human-beings, always try to think for current time being. Yet aren't we the ones who need to think of next generations who are our future daughters, grandsons and simply next generation. What heritage will we leave behind? In order to make the issue more serious, education system needs to integrate environmental class on how to start small steps. Also, there is a city in Uzbekistan which is Navai. It is a city where all manufacturing or different types of factories are located, so people breath the worst air ever. Once I met a girl who became ill from this place and every summer comes to Zaamin which we call the Switzerland of Uzbekistan to change the place for a while. Moreover, when I have been to Samsung Engineering by Junior Engineering Academy, I was over the moon to see that there is an almost special department and various people working on different eco-projects. That's how the company cares about future consequences. I do believe that if business realise their important roles in environmental policy, let's say, citizens would finitely understand. Hope I could convey, thanks!

This is your mentor Debbie. :)

Thanks for sharing your thematic report with us. A lot of companies including Samsung Engineering has its own department working on eco-projects. These are usually referred to as CSR Department which stands for Corporate Social Responsibility. This is the department that thinks about how the company can contribute to protecting the environment. Especially for cities like Uzbekistan that has lots of waste gases from factories, these companies would need a CSR department to ensure that they follow environmental policies and do further more form there. Yikes, I wish no one would ever be sick from the air we breathe from!

Thank you for your perspective of the thematic report!
It is true that many including myself still don't think of the environmental impact the of the things we purchase. It is good for you to arouse awareness on this point.
I also agree with your point saying that education system needs to integrate environmental class on how to start small steps. It is important to educate the future generation to have an eco-centric way of thinking.
