Hello Everyone, I hope everyone is staying safe and following the safety protocol to stay protected from the increasing spread of the new Covid-19 variant. My country Nepal has also been siverly hit with the second wave of the virus. The situation has been alarming in the country with the increasing cases and lack of health services to cope with the situation. In this report, I will be sharing the details with videos of some of my school campaigns and online events that will help you to learn more eco activities staying at home during these difficult times.
¡°Sustainable Environment Campaign'' was conducted in Barahi Awasiya Secondary School with the participants over 100 students where students were awared about the global issue of environmental concern, their role in preserving the planet conducting various programs with the aim of awaring children for conscious family and responsible nation with Eco Quiz, Awareness presentation, Eco Voice of children, Eco Motivation and Eco club formation. The first International day of Awareness of Food Loss and Waste was celebrated on 29th September, 2020 by the United Nations. The team members from ¡®Me and my SDGs¡¯ also launched a mega video campaign to celebrate the day. I participated in this campaign sharing my thoughts as Tunza EcoGeneration Regional Ambassador to Asia. You can see my video during the campaign at: https://www.facebook.com/lswn10/videos/729890721074831/
I facilitated a webinar on Covid 19 and Environment by YouthLead on the topic "What Youth Can Learn about the Environment amid the COVID-19 Pandemic" on 30th April. You can view the webinar recording at:https://www.youtube.com/embed/FWIT4c7oLaw?autoplay=0&start=0&rel=0
I have successfully completed the 12 episodes of Eco Fact Series which aim to make people aware through different environmental facts. Head over to watch the 12 surprising eco-facts videos. The Link to Youtube Video is: hhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tZ9JMDqp9fo
Although a large amount of food is wasted, there are a large portion of people who are staying empty stomach and large hungry animals roaming on streets. People must be conscious and make best utilization of food without wasting because a large amount of money, energy and resources have been invested on the food from farmers in the field, manufacturing companies to the people cooking it at home. There's a lot we can do to reduce the food waste that's costing our families, depleting our natural resources, and contributing to climate change. 1. Plan ahead—before meals, especially large meals at the holidays, plan out how much food you and your guests need and stock up accordingly. 2. Donate whatever you can¡¯t use to the people and animals who need this. 3. Store your leftovers safely. 4. Compost your food scraps instead of simply throwing them out 5. Implementing policy relating to food waste and food security A video was also prepared during this campaign and you can watch it at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y8hmluZVvo0
On the occasion of International Youth Day 2020, I compiled the voice of young climate activists around the globe to create Video on ¡°Youth Voice on Climate Action¡±. You can view the video on: https://youtu.be/BwhG02I7YZY
I was invited to present to the students of LTS eco club of Little Flower School, Narayanghat on the occasion of World Environment Day 2020. Here the video recording of the presentation. You can watch it on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q6fUpgqPnsI&feature=emb_title
I have organized a virtual eco workshop on 29th July via Zoom on "Connect to Climate: Creating Climate Leader". You can view the recording of the programme at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=onxBbTOF9ew&t=38s |

Hi Kushal,
This is your mentor Yuseon:D
Thanks for sharing many eco activities that could be participated non-face to face.
I bet many fellow ambassadors in Tunza would love to hear this information. I was also kind of surprised myself that there are so many diverse activities despite the Covie-19 situation.
Hope this would be the end of it soon so that these great activities could be conducted face-to-face.
Keep sharing,
Yuseon

Hi Kushal,
This is your mentor Debbie :)
WOW Kushal, even with the difficult situation due to COVID-19, you??ve achieved a lot and I can imagine that you probably have learned a lot from the process as well. And as a eco-generation ambassador you are truly an inspiring role model for many of us in the community as well.
With the online platform, it??s hard to imagine each of us are a ¡°living person¡± (not sure if this makes sense..) but it was great to know more about who you are through the videos and webinar. Eco-facts videos presented some shocking facts too. Great job and keep up the work !
Green Cheers,

Debbie
