THEMATIC REPORT: GREEN VEHICLES

by Meena Pandey | 28-06-2021 22:30 recommendations 0

We define ¡®Green Vehicles' as vehicles that use ¡®new' technologies and are considered to be environmentally friendly. Vehicles powered by gas, bio-fuels, or dedicated new Internal Combustion Engines (ICE) with a strong reduction in environmental impact, such as fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEV) or hydrogen driven vehicles, hybrid electric vehicles (HEV) or full electric vehicles (EV) with or without plug-in devices, vehicles powered by gas, bio-fuels, or dedicated new Internal Combustion Engines (ICE) are green vehicles. Internal Combustion Engines (ICE) will play a significant role in this, according to current thinking.

To ensure sustainable person mobility and goods transportation in the future, it will be necessary to overcome the future challenges of road transport, a basic requirement that humans will assume as self-evident also in the future.

A Green Vehicle Routing Problem (G-VRP) is established, and solution methodologies are developed, to assist enterprises with alternative fuel vehicle fleets in addressing challenges caused by limited vehicle operating range combined with inadequate refueling infrastructure. Battery-electric propulsion will be a viable choice for motorised transport in urban settings, where travel and transport distances are typically short. Other powertrains will be required for longer journeys.  There are a lot of benefits of green vehicles. It provides an efficient, sustainable goods transport system. The high investment for road infrastructure is its major challenges. The green vehicle market is still in its development, as is the infrastructure required to serve it.

The concerned authority should give due consideration towards the development of green vehicles in the developing country.

    Dear Meena,

    This is your mentor Debbie.

Road transport is definitely something we need to work on, and I hope green vehicles is the answer to the problem. Thus far we have battery-electric propulsion being deeply explored by the car manufacturing industry but hopefully we??ll have an even more efficient and eco-friendly means o powertrain! :)

Always appreciate reading your informative article, Meena!

    Green Cheers!
    Debbie
