Hello to 27th Eco-generation Regional Ambassadors! This is your mentor Joon and I am writing this article to announce the Theme of the Month for November succeeding October¡¯s topic, ¡®Eco-Friendly Waste Management¡¯. The keyword for the third month will be <Air Pollution>.

Air pollution started to become a serious problem since the start of industrial revolution as people began using fossil fuels such as coal, petroleum, and so on. Usage of such fuel led to emission of different pollutants, which were mostly made during combustion process, some of which are now referred as greenhouse gases such as Carbon Dioxide, Sulfur Oxide, Nitrogen Oxides, and etc. Not limiting to greenhouse gases, lot more pollutants are emitted even in this period of time.

Ambassadors should write an article related to air pollutions which could vary depending on point of view. One might write about reason pollutants are produced, others might write about seriousness of air pollution and its side effects. Personal stories related to this issue can also be very catching and welcomed. Once again, as long as it is related to topic, any approach is still fine. You don¡¯t have to stick to the suggestions I have provided.

If it is hard to come up with ideas, why not take a look about micro-fine dusts emitted by factories of different industries? One might refer to specific statistics, which region emits mots dusts, measures different countries are taking in order to reduce it as much as possible, if not, why they are not taking it seriously and put into an action and so on.

Another possible suggestion is to research about diseases caused by air pollution. With found resources, one may compare occurrence rate of bronchial disease such as asthma and amount of air pollution emitted during certain area at certain period of time. Then we might be able to get reasonable assumptions about its correlation and that could be analyzed as an article. One may also analyze its impact on agriculture, and economics. If you still cannot grasp the point, then search Air Pollution to Google or Wikipedia. There, you might be able to find much easier explanations with detailed explanations.

Once again, above are just simple suggestions which ambassadors could refer to. You can use the topic I have suggested or come up with your own. Recommended amount for an article is more than 3 paragraphs, and please cite the sources you have used if there are any references used.

You can refer to following links for brief information:

https://www.who.int/health-topics/air-pollution

https://www.unep.org/explore-topics/air

https://medlineplus.gov/airpollution.html

But feel free to refer to other sources as above is just a suggestion of possible source.

It was good to see articles with great efforts put on previous month. More articles were submitted compared to September, and it became much better in content wise! I hope to see more this month!

 Let¡¯s keep up!
