[Free Report] Art of Grafting Fruit Trees

The first time when I watched a documentary film in which a simple tree produced different varieties of fruits, I was quite astonished by how it could be. This art is called “Grafting fruit trees”, grafting branches of one tree onto the root on the trunk of another. For example, grafting makes a plum tree grow apricots, grapefruits, or peaches. There is no exact time when the grafting of plants began. According to some predictions, it started in the Middle East mentioning the five Biblical fruits to the Land of Israel. People who lived in the cold climate of Northwest Asia put grafting into practice. After knowing about tree branches being grafted, Sam Van Aken, the Syracuse University art professor, decided to create a tree that can produce 40 different fruits. Every year the tree stays the same green color until spring comes it begins to blossom in a mix of different tones of red, pink, and purple, while in summer producing 40 kinds of stone fruits including plums, apricots, cherries, peaches, and many more. The main benefit of grafting fruit trees is that it produces fruit much faster than a tree grown from seed which can take 8 or 10 years. Grafting is used to develop both the taste and shape of the fruit. However, it has its disadvantages; requiring labor for raising grafted seedlings or specialized skills, and spreading viruses from one variety to another.

It's beauty of nature, isn't it? Though, I expect it would need specialized skills.
The fruit kinds that are grafted must match biologically, right?

Though I knew such techniques were possible, it is my first time looking on the photo of it.
Though there are pros and cons to grafting, as you have mentioned in your article, as long as benefit outweighs the disadvantage, I would like to support. I have also read some article about grafting male and female specie of tree into a same root, so that it can produce fruit itself. If you are interested, why don't you have a look around?
