On December 02, 2021 Real Food Systems organized Training on Safety Use of Agri-Chemicals and Workshop on Food Security. The event was organized in Shree Chandrodaya Secondary School, Bishaltar, Dhading. It was supported by YPARD Nepal and Tunza Eco Generation. It is my funded project on Food Security and Safety Use of Agri-Chemicals. The event was organized for Grade 9 & 10 Plant Science students. The program was facilitated by 3 Resource Persons, Mr. Abhishek Khadka, country representative at YPARD Nepal, plant pathologist Mr. Sarad Pokhrel and me. The program was organized with the motive of promoting food Security and minimizing the use of agri-chemicals in Nepal. Nepal is one of the most pesticide and insecticide using country in the World. Our Training cum workshop aims to improve this condition and make Nepal a safe and healthy place for everyone. Real Food Systems is working with the vision of a transformed and sustainable future, where plant-based, whole foods are the foundation for human and planetary health. YPARD Nepal is working to promote food system and agriculture in various communities of Nepal. Tunza Eco Generation is Corporate Social Responsibility of Samsung Engineering and United Nations Environment Program.

Well done. It is good to see that the funded project is put to an action. Raising awareness is always a huge deal. If people don't even know what might be a possible problem, we cannot form any social consensus. If that happens, we cannot even try to solve the problem, no matter how crucial the problem is. So I would like to praise and applaud to your work.

Thank You Hannah Mentor. Students were really motivated. They promise to reduce use of pesticides.

Great respect to your funded project!
I think that education is one of the most important part of environmental movement, so Real Food Systems and YPARD Nepal seems to be doing a great job.
Were students motivated to minimize use for agrichemicals?
