[Free Report] Top Positive Stories 2021

by Pranav Gaba | 29-12-2021 00:42 recommendations 0

From wildfires to locust attacks, from air pollution to floods & tsunamis, we have seen and endured enough damage. There were many negative and devastating environmental events that took place in 2021. However, now is the time to end 2021 on a positive note and recall the positive stories that give us a little ray of hope in this world where things are plagued for the entire populace just for the benefit of a handful people.

1. Giant Panda of China no longer an 'endangered'specie
China, which hosts a couple thousands of Giant Pandas, reported early this year that the giant panda is no longer categorised 'endangered'. They are now just classified as 'vulnerable' thanks to conservation efforts. Due to the fact that panda reproduce infrequently, it is a challenge for their population to recover from such a low point. But sincere conservation efforts have really brought a commendable change in the population of the animal.

2. Protected area expands around Galapagos
A couple hundred years ago, rich diversity and amazing wildlife prompted Charles Darwin to pen down his book 'On the Origin of Species' and bring forward the theory of evolution. This November Ecuador's president, Guillermo Lasso, has announced that the marine-protected area around the Galapagos island would be expanded by 60,000 sq km. Home to giant tortoises, sea lion among other species, environmentalists hope that expanding the marine-protected area would conserve the rich biodiversity of the island from climate change and illegal fishing.

3. Ozone layer heals
As per Aljazeera, "according to a recent study by the US National Center for Atmospheric Research ( NCAR ): Because of the 1987 Montreal Protocol, a global deal to regulate nearly 100 man-made chemicals that deplete the ozone layer, 443 million Americans will likely be spared from skin cancer through the end of this century". 1
The hole in the ozone layer is enormous - about the size of North America - but it is recovering at a rate of 1 to 3 percent every 3 years, as per a report by the UN.

4. A clean and healthy environment is now a human right
In the first week of this October month, the UNHRC ( United Nations Human Rights Council ) in Geneva passed a resolution recognising access to clean, healthy and sustainable environment as a universal right. In doing so, this creates much hope that there will be a greater shift in protecting the planet in thee future.

Hello Pranav, this is your mentor Hannah.

Such a great article to close the year, even greater because they're good news.
I can answer your first question : In case of free reports, nutrious contents and distinctive topics would be great. Also for monthly topic reports, creative thoughts on the topic or article where we can learn a lot from would be likely to be featured.
I think you're doing a great job and have great potential to have the featured report soon.
For the second question, I'm not sure so can you wait 'til @Eco generation answers your question in the chat box?

Thank you for your great article and please keep up with your wonderful work :)

    Sincerly,
    Hannah

    Dear mentor Joon and Hannah,
Hope you both are healthy and doing well.

Whenever you read this one report of mine, I have two questions to ask you.
    1. Now that I have learnt how to properly write references, it's time to upgrade and write a report that gets featured in the Tunza monthly newsletter. So my first question is what extra needs to be done so that my next month's report surely gets featured in the newsletter?
    2. And secondly, where can I see the date of the campaigns submitted on the platform for which promotional goods were sent?

Looking forward to hear from you both.
    Best,
    Pranav

Hello Pranav, this is your mentor Joon.

It is nice to listen about good news! Because I am participating in programs related to environment, I always face bad news and negative cases. I often get enervated thinking about people's action. Yet, as you have showed us in the article, there are still some hopes remaining. If we work hard to increase positive features, then we would be able to turn our time back. Hope such action accelerates.

Well read your article, and let's keep up!

    Best,

    Joon
