The salvation of the world in careers? In my country, there is not much opportunity for careers related to renewable energy, however in a few years they will take a very important value in our society. Researching careers, I found several careers that I didn't know about, but almost none of these in my region. My best friend wants to study something related to Renewable Energy, but here lies a dilemma, in my country Mexico very few universities offer this type of careers, of the few I found for my region, are ENGINEERING IN RENEWABLE ENERGIES and ENGINEERING IN SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT, there are more, but due to low demand is difficult to find them. On the one hand, in Renewable Energy Engineering, the students plan, project, design, construct, operate, innovate and implement technologies related to the use of renewable energy resources, applying the most advanced multidisciplinary scientific and technological knowledge. While Sustainable Development Engineering develops new technologies and strategies to reduce the impact that human activities have on the planet. The labor field of both is very broad since they participate in the areas of production, installations, design of systems and equipment, project supervision, energy audits, applied research and technological development, and in maintenance and administration activities. He collaborates in energy generation and conversion plants, including waste management plants; in various companies and industries: construction, mining, steel, agro-industrial, health and transportation, as well as in consulting and engineering firms. In the public sector, he works in agencies related to energy, education and research, urban development and housing, environment, natural resources, and rural development. He also contributes to the formation of new companies related to energy and develops his work in research centers and higher education institutions. In Latin America we are a little behind in these issues, there is not much demand, nor supply for them. I think there are several factors that explain this, for me the considerable ones are: ignorance on the part of society and lack of care and empathy on the part of the government. I Daniel Puente trust and know that these careers are necessary and urgent for the benefit of society, I can confirm it by their characteristics and descriptions that have the careers. Hello Daiel, this is your mentor Hannah.
I expected Mexico to have bright future in renewable energies-related career, but sadly there isn't.
Though, don't you think the demand for these majors and careers will increase as time goes?
Also, I'm a chemical engineer but try to develop baterries to alternate fossil fuel use, it could be said to be related to renewable energies, right?
Thank you for your great article and please keep up with your wonderful work :)
Sincerly,
Hannah

Hello Daniel, this is your mentor Joon.
I thoroughly read through your article, and felt that this is nicely written piece of work. It is true that the subject, which seems directly related to the topic of this month, is hard to approach in regions without certain levels of demand. I agree with your words on that part. Yet, there are points that people often miss. We don't have to major in 'sustainable engineering' to work of renewable energy. Already existing majors can broadly cover such part so I would like you to research more on such issue.
Well read your article, and let's keep up!
Best,
Joon
