27th Ambassadorship, Month 4, Report 2 Free Report: December Title: Community Development and Community Development Practitioner Community development is a helpful approach when you are trying to create change at a community or neighborhood level. The community development process takes control of the conditions and elements that influence a community and improve its residents' quality of life. Community development is a tool for managing change, but it is not a quick fix or a short-term solution to a specific issue in a community, nor is it a process that seeks to exclude community members from participation, nor is it an initiative that occurs in isolation from other related community activities. The key role of community development practitioners is to resource and empower the community. This is done through a broad range of actions and activities that change depending on the context. Community development practitioners support community members through the provision of information needed to identify issues and plan actions. This could include sharing information on local data, good practice around particular identified issues, and relevant programs and resources that are available. Community development practitioners also connect with and build local networks and local leaders, undertake community engagement, and plan, deliver and evaluate projects and programs. Community development practice has a focus on facilitation, education, and representational and resourcing skills. Individuals and groups are empowered via community development when they are given the skills they need to make a difference in their communities. These abilities are frequently acquired through the establishment of large social groups dedicated to a shared goal. It's a broad word that refers to the efforts of civic leaders, activists, concerned individuals, and experts to improve many parts of communities, to make them stronger and more resilient. Hello Alok, this is your mentor Hannah.
Around my neighborhood, community development practitioners seem to be civil servants or members of social communities.
Not really having attention to the neighbor community, I didn't realize how community development is done for the facilities, educations, and services.
Thank you for your great article and please keep up with your wonderful work :) Happy new year!
Sincerly,
Hannah

Hello Alok, this is your mentor Joon
Community development practitioners are highly important and are deeply connected with the concept grassroot activism. No matter how thorough the government set up the policies, if there are no members to help spread the impact, it is of no use. That is why governments also support practitioners for their secondary fees so that they could work for communities. Also, as they know well about their neighborhoods, they might be able to give some ideas that local community really and actually needs. If you are interested, you can go research about grassroot activism.
Well read your article, and let's keep up!
Best,
Joon
