Thematic Report, February. What Am I Doing to Help the Environment?

Dear all, It has been a great journey to go through an environmental journey with all the fellow ambassadors and distinguished mentors. I am glad that we have covered important aspects and topics to make our ambassadorship program more valuable. Hence, the last topic to write is a great opportunity for us to share what we have been doing so far or plans to improve, contribute to climate change. Now I have been involved in a couple of the environmental communities online and what our friends from pre-Cop 26 have organized. We receive and have many online surveys which need answers and active engagement. In addition, I raise awareness through social media on my IG profile and Telegram Channel. Shall I add our membership on Tunza?:) I am super glad that I am not the only one here to mull over regarding the environment. As I have been residing in Istanbul since October, I can see there is a huge proportion of smoking adults and the scariest youngsters. Therefore, I have done my research about smoking and its effects on ecology and us, human beings. Also, when I am with my friends, most of the time they tend to neglect to throw garbage nearby them while we are outside, right at this time I mention and ask them not to do. It became a habit and now they are also learning it, luckily, Yay!:) I will not stop promoting environmental awareness and will try to follow it on my own by not using too many papers, diminishing using plastic, bottles as well:) I shall extend my term on Tunza to gain more knowledge and be inspired by our beloved ambassadors from all around the globe. Thank you!

As a non-smoker I am really curious about how smoking is affecting us and ecology. I have seen various articles that smoking, even indirect smoking, is a cause for cancer. I am pretty sure the smoking filters thrown away on nature have some kind of effects. Please share your findings if you are confident enough on your evidence!
