                        Soil Pollution

With the degrading biodiversity, the soil, like the seas and air, is not exempted. Man has waged a fierce war against his home. The land, the home of not only the man but other a million of wildlife is voluntarily turned into a furnace. Turning the only planet to its most tipping point.

The fate of soil Pollution
  • Kills he soil and making it unfavorable for plant growth eg Disposal of chemicals into the soil, makes the soil unable to support any plants.
  • Destroys the habitant of millions of terrential animals
  • Plastic and metal land disposals creates favourable conditions for pathogens that in turn conquer the man and other wildlife.
  • Creates dust bows bows and affect air quality
  • May facilitate soil erosion which later affect the seas and the soil quality
  • Facilitates desertification and aridity
  • Takes away the land which could otherwise be used for settlement, farming etc
  • Leads to famine due to plant failures
  • Governments lose more money to repair damages caused as a result of soil Pollution

Hello Happy, this is your mentor Chelwoon.

Although the title of this article is about last month??s theme, the content of this article is also significantly related to this month??s theme!
We must not underestimate the effects of any kind of pollution. The extinction of one specie due to these types of pollution can lead to the end of many other species, as flora and fauna live together. Even if two species are natural enemies to each other, from a long-term point of view, the extinction of one specie is dangerous to the other species. In this regard, keeping great biodiversity is one of the important factors to maintain the integrity of the ecosystem.

    Thank you for the article!

    Regards,
    Chelwoon

Hello Happy, this is your mentor Joon.

Soil pollution causes serious consequences including those you have listed. However, people are not well aware or do not care much about soil pollution compared to other pollutions. Once the soil is polluted, it is especially hard to make up for its loss. The existing treatments are limited to local solutions, not general ones and costs so much. Therefore, the best way to cure its by not allowing the pollution in the first place by implementing proper waste management systems.

Well read your article, and let's keep up!

    Best,

    Joon
