Rainwater harvesting (free topic)

If ground water is completely depleted, rainwater needs to be obserbed into the soil for a period of at least ten years restore the water level.the water level is declining as water is being used as it pleases, groundwater levels are declining day by day due to increasing construction of new buildings, wastages of water in large scale factories, low rain fall during monsoon, illigaly dug bore wells and so on.

there are many options available to change this adversity, one of the alternations in rain water harvesting ,which means that when it is raining,it will seep into the soil without letting the ran off, rainwater harvesting, involves storeing rainwater in the roof of the house or in a tank in the ground near the house, purified and re- introducing in to the ground through pipes, most importantly, there is no need to spend to much on rainwater harvesting, groundwater is likely to be polluted.however, since rainwater is non polluting,it is less likely to rest and storage tanks or pipes,in addition, rainwater harvesting can be useful in times of water scarcity, rainwater reclaimed water can be used for agricultural purposes, this stared water can be used especially in case of low rainfall or in areas where water is scarce, this this water is also be used for feeding cattle,as the pollutions grows  so does the demand of water, that is why borewells are being a dug in many places to meet the water needs of residental areas as a result ground water level declining.if rainwater is pumped underground, groundwater levels may raise again.

Benifits:
*In coastal areas, rain water conservation plays an important role in reducing the intensity of salin and brackish groundwater
*Since, there is a shortage of clean and fresh water in nature,it is necessary to plan for rainwater which will supply more fresh water.
*With proper water conservation and planing there is less reliance an external sources of water supply
*Water conservation in creases ground water levels,it save an electricity used to pull water up.

Hello Vaishnavi, this is your mentor Chelwoon.

Most drinkable water is from groundwater, but groundwater accounts for a very small portion of the total water on earth. Indiscriminate mining, gas-extraction, construction of buildings without proper ¡°Environmental Effects Evaluation¡± are the main culprits responsible for the degradation of groundwater quality.
Many countries, such as Saudi Arabia, make an effort to utilize rainwater into agricultural water or industrial water. We must not forget that most countries are designated as having water stress.

    Thank you for the article!

Hello Vaishnavi, this your mentor Joon.

Rainwater harvesting is quite an old technique to get clean water. However, there are things to consider as there are more and more regions having acid rains which consumption should be avoided. It is sustainable, if there are guarantees that rain would occasionally fall, and easy to adapt as a system. Water conservation techniques should be implemented. What are your thoughts on rainwater system? I would like to hear from you!

Well read your article, and let's keep up!

    Best,

    Joon
