The term "green rating" or "certification" refers to the level of environmental friendliness of real estate buildings. It is a real estate designation for REALTORS in the United States that has been accepted by the (American) National Association of Realtors (NAR). Without certification, a contractor providing green services may be self-taught, acquiring green best practices from books or magazines. Alternatively, a self-titled green contractor may not have been instructed at all and may rely only on the favorable marketing garnered by labeling a firm green. There are almost 600 green product certifications in the globe, with about 100 in use in the United States, and the numbers are growing.

Hello Amit, this is your mentor Chelwoon.
There exist many other fields which have their own green certification systems apart from real estate buildings. Many kinds of green certifications are already set up! Have you heard of ¡®Greenwashing??? It provides misleading information about how products or food materials are more environmentally sound. The more number of green certifications are made, the more we have to be careful about this.
Thank you for the article!

Chelwoon

Hello Amit, this is your mentor Joon.
Green Certification programs could be seen in diverse field and field of real-estate is closely related to such programs. There are some flaws to the certifications though. Customers would not know whether the certification program is approved by the government agencies, or made by individual organizations, which only requires low standard to pass the test. It is the role of customers to check whether the certification is from prestigious bodies and try to make best choice as possible.
Well read your article, and let's keep up!
Best,
Joon
