Vermiculture is culturing of earth warm earthworm effectively harness the beneficial soil microflora destroy soil pathogens and convert organic waste into vulnerable products known as caste which contain biofertilizer vitamins enzymes antibiotics growth hormones and proteinaceous worm biomass. Hence earthworm are called as artificial fertilizer factors.
*Earthworm is nocturnal *Clitellum is adult stage *To adults meet and lay egg within a week egg are of coriander seed shape *Earth war take m o through the food m o multiply in the in intense time of earthworm and they come out with cast it contains various type of bacterias actinomyctes enzymes. vitamins and micro nutrients Benefits of vermicompost It contain micronutrients (mg,de,Bo,Mo,zn) growth regulator and beneficial Mo. It increase w h c of soil. Decrease salinity and increases availability of nutrients. Reduce soil erosions. Reduction in incidence of disease and paste and also it increase the yield. For almost all crops apply vermicompost @ 2.5 ton per acre at the time of sowing leaves worm in the fieldmaintenance sufficient moisture by regular irrigation and lot of crop residuous crop residuous have to be there in the field don't apply chemicals or chemical fertilizer to soil but through the leaves. Preparation of vermicompost Drench with chloropyriphos@ 2 ML per litre of H2O leave for one week and then go for filling the pit like paddy straw sugarcane trash black soil green leaves dunk biogas slurry. Apply water @ 30 to 60 l for 16 days leave 2000 worms suitable species at about 10 cm Deep worm multiplication and composed production will be higher if sugar trash sunflower or Bajra reduces are used keep the pit always moist 30 to 60% moisture are required by daily watering during summer or twice a week during rainy season added 50 lit requiredvermicompost production is seen after 45 days of living worms to the pit it will be complete in 18 to 90 days residue will be converted to vermicompost 75% take vermicompost from the Pit leave the Pit without watering for about 3 days worm will move to dipper layer due to lack of moisture in the upper layer take out the compost from the upper layer and see the compost and store it in a gunny bags under shade. About 224 turn varmicompost will be produced in 3 months and 6 to 12 turn varmicompost will be produced in one year earthworm complete their life cycle within 90 days by which time they multiply about 40 to 50 times.in vermicompost egg nymph and adults all form stages are found. |

Hello Vaishnavi, this is your mentor Chelwoon.
Thank you for introducing us to vermiculture! It has many benefits to utilize compost or manure of animals in terms of the environment because they are clean and biodegradable. One of my cousins operates a pig farm and a pepper farm. He utilizes feces and urine of pigs for producing eco-friendly fertilizers with a reverse osmosis machine in order to utilize them in his pepper farm! I hope more people will learn about the benefits of vermiculture and utilize them like he has done.
Thank you for the article!
Regards,
Chelwoon

Hello Vaishnavi, this is your mentor Joon.
Though, it is my first time seeing the word Vermiculture, the concept seems quite familiar: Culturing Earthworms to produce Natural Fertilizer. From the early educations, we know that Earthworms are beneficial to earth's soil. However, the current use of pesticides tend to harvest the lives of earthworms. Introducing the organic agriculture, it is again the time for earthworms to shine. We could choose both ways: to grow worms directly to the field, or make worms produce natural fertilizer on distinguished place. Both would work perfectly fine, and it would be sustainable.
Well read your article, and let's keep up!
Best,
Joon
