[September Free Report] Renewable Energy in iran

by Seyedmohammadmahan Mir Nasiri | 04-10-2022 16:54 recommendations 0

Iranian society has a rich heritage of renewable energy. This brining in general the benefits of reaching this goal would include reduction on the country's import dependence on petroleum, and availability of stable patterns of investing and creating business opportunities for national industry, revolving around this sector.

Although significant progress has been made in many fields like electricity generation from renewable sources is still insufficient to meet current standards as shown by more useful fossil-fueled plants; With significant investment into renewable energy such as wind and solar power for electricity generating costs would be decreased. Solar and wind are the two types of renewable energies that Iran utilizes. A variety of agencies provides updates on fossil fuels owned by National Iranian Oil Company (N.I.O.C). Presence of nuclear is currently negligible although it has made tremendous contributions in the past decades.

-Currently, there are about 12 Nuclear Reactors in Iran, most of which commenced last year, which account for 3% of electricity generation capacity

-Iran's petroleum income accounts for eighty percent IRR Million major information and communications company

-Iran holds 13th rank globally at producing electrical power from renewable sources such as solar energy .Renewable energy has offered alternatives to fossil fuel and gas, which is inadequate sometimes. Production of solar and wind power in Iran is comparatively low, as these are expensive forms of power generation. Renewables provide an opportunity for investment in order to develop the industry standards in more countries such as Iran.

The Renewable Energy Basic Plan (REFBP) of Iran describes renewable energy's goal by 2020, which includes generating 18 million Mega Watt Hour (MWh), consisting of 54% wind generated and 46% solar generated electricity. The REFB tries to highlight the economic benefits that renewables can bring through decreasing imports from fossil fuels and cutting down on dependency on imported goods from abroad due to reduced emissions that helps maintain a stable society where citizens have enough security in their daily lives for long-term stability.

In order for renewable energy to discriminateably separate themselves from fossil fuels producers, renewables offer emission-free sources of energy generation and storage so investments in solar or wind farms would reduce air pollution
