Today the 20th of October, 2022, Malawi has hold it's first ever National Children¡¯s Summit on Climate Justice in the capital city, Lilongwe and the guest of honour was the state president H.E Dr Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera.
The state president assured young people in attendance that his administration will continue supporting climate-smart youth initiatives that align with the agenda to realise a climate-resilient and environmentally sustainable future for all. As one of the young climate activist, I believe that this is not the last National Children¡¯s Summit on Climate Justice but it will be happening every year to ensure young people's voices are heard and today's resolutions at the summit has motivated youth's persuasion for global climate action at the forthcoming Conference of Partners 27 (COP27) in Egypt few weeks from now.
