Air pollution in Mexico.
According to the United Nations website, air pollution represents a high environmental health risk in industrialized and developing countries. Air pollution is also the cause of premature mortality and 4.2 million of deads around the world. In Mexico, pollution is part of our everyday lives; therefore, people living in Monterrey or Mexico State are usually affected by small particles of 2.5 microns (PM2.5), which lead to cardiovascular and respiratory diseases and cancer. I live in Mexico state, specifically in Tlalnepantla, the more polluted zone in Mexico Valley. The principal causes of air pollution are industrial processes where combustion occurs and mobile agents such as automobiles. Are there any monitoring networks? Air quality monitoring systems are an elemental source in Mexico, not only for conditions but also for information. With the information, the SEDEMA is responsible for establishing programs that forbid certain vehicles (which emit more O3). It is essential to highlight that not all cities with monitoring have sufficient and reliable data to examine the evolution of pollutant concentrations. But Mexico is working on killing the invisible giant that kills 8,000 to 14,000 people annually just in Mexico City. The WHO, through several studies, concludes that approximately 90% of people breathe unhealthy air daily. Air pollution is not decreasing; on the opposite, it is increasing. But if there is one thing we are sure of is that it is in our hands to stop this; use fewer cars, demand stricter measures from the government for factories and follow the existing programs. image: (https://desinformemonos.org/mexico-entre-los-paises-con-la-peor-contaminacion-del-aire-en-el-mundo/) |

Hi, Heidy Michell Albor Vargas!
This is your mentor, Yoon.
Thank you for introducing air pollution in Mexico. I feel bad about the occasion in Mexico. As I also suffer from air pollution in South Korea, I know by heart how severe the problem is and how the pollution is causing lung cancers and various other diseases.
Great job on writing the free report.
I am looking forward to reading your following report!

Hello, this is your mentor Minkyung.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge of air pollution in Mexico. I have heard that air pollution is a very severe problem in Mexico, and I think raising awareness and making sure that authorities are doing their jobs is very urgent in dealing with this issue.
As I have already mentioned in your previous report, it would be easier for readers to read through your report if you put several sentences together in a paragraph according to their content.
Great job writing December report :)
