INSPIRED AMBASSADOR

by Aaditya Singh | 06-03-2023 00:36 recommendations 0

za Ecogen has invited recommendations for the Most Inspirational Ambassador of the 29th Eco Generation Regional Ambassadors.  I am not making any claims or soliciting recommendations for any such title and thus I am writing on the last day/deadline of the nominations. However, the event made me reflect on some other thoughts that I want to share with the forum.

I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the Forum and fellow Ambassadors for making me a highly inspired ambassador.

Yes, I consider myself an INSPIRED TUNZA ECOGEN AMBASSADOR currently serving my THIRTEENTH TERM as an Ambassador!!!

Inspired by the enthusiasm of senior fellow ambassadors, in the last 10 years, I have held events, email campaigns and advertisement campaigns to promote Tunza Ecogeneration, Junior Eco Engineering Academy and environmental conservation in my region. I started participating in eco events since the age of 7 in my school. After joining Tunza Ecogen as a member at the age of 9, I started organizing eco conservation events, and at the age of 10 years, I served as the president of the environment and social club at my primary school. Today at 19 years old, I have confidently organized many environment related campaigns and events, thanks to the inspirational field work by fellow Ambassadors.

Inspired by excellent reports from fellow ambassadors, I have admired the writing skills of many and tried to imbibe the best from all, to create a good format that may take me long to prepare but is worthwhile for the reader. I have learnt to value the time of all readers. I try to write detailed and informative reports, broken into small paragraphs for ease of reading. I research through many sources but make a conscious effort to interpret and integrate the web information with my own opinion, to compile a seamless whole with a good flow, always giving due credit to the sources. I also try to make my reports interesting by making different formats like poetry, songs, artwork and puzzles etc.

Inspired by the warm and encouraging comments of fellow Ambassadors, I am full of positive energy when I read reports on the forum. Some ambassadors add so much value and insight into their comments, truly fulfilling the purpose of the interactive nature of the forum. As I appreciate their comments, I am myself motivated to ensure that I comment only when I have fully read and understood the reports; and that my comments are a little more than just 'pats on the back'!

Inspired by the ever active and highly driven Ambassadors, I am a regular participant in monthly events and competitions organized by Tunza Ecogen and other environmental agencies. Senior to me not just in age, but more so in knowledge and experience, I used to look up to many ambassadors who were university students whose work constantly kept raising the bar.  Besides having learnt to appreciate healthy competition, I have striven to upgrade my own knowledge and creativity, to be able to stand on the same platform with them.

Many of us are not able to organize events as in some regions it is more difficult to get permissions. I have had to go through a lengthy process to get approvals to organize events in my schools and hostel. Many are not able to devote as much time on the forum as we would like to. I for instance had to ration online time due to eyesight problems. However, it is heartening to note how all of us inspire each other and get inspired by each other. For me the biggest takeaway of this ambassadorship is awareness and knowledge, that will grow with me in the years to come and go with me wherever I go!

How inspirational we are, can depend on how others perceive our work; but how inspired we are. is completely up to us. I am thus working on being 'inspired' rather than being an 'inspiration'. With such inspirational ambassadors as role models, at some stage when my actions will be able to speak louder than words, I too may be able to inspire someone. However, I am content and will always remain an inspired ambassador! The link below to my recent report will highlight and give further links to my work, and whatever little I have been able to contribute as an inspired ambassador. The attached photo gives few snapshots of my 10 years long journey with Tunza Ecogen

Thank you, fellow ambassadors, for your inspiring work. Each one of you is inspirational in your own way. Let us work together for a greener tomorrow.

Thanks also to Tunza Ecogen for this platform that connects us all.
