According to estimates, in the future, alternative and renewable energy sources will be the fastest growing source of energy compared to traditional energy sources due to scientific and technical progress and highly advanced technologies. But despite this development, until 2040, traditional energy sources will still retain their place as the main energy sources. Thus, traditional energy sources will make up 77% of total energy consumption by 2040. In particular, natural gas is expected to be a more developed energy source than other types of conventional energy sources. Also, while oil and liquid fuels currently account for 33% of the total energy consumption, in 2040 this indicator will slightly decrease to 31%. During this period, the demand for nuclear energy will increase by 1.5 times. With this indicator, nuclear energy will remain the second largest developing energy source in the world.
However, we must also take into account that traditional energy sources such as coal, oil and natural gas are exhaustible resources. So, according to calculations, if the use of these fuels continues at the current rate of development, it is predicted that oil will be exhausted in 43-50, gas in 65-73, coal in 150-170, and gray coal in 500-550 years. Thus, taking into account the depletion of hydrocarbon resources, which have a special weight in meeting our energy needs, and the negative effects of rising energy prices on the economy, alternative and renewable energy sources are essential for preserving existing resources for future generations, preventing global climate change, and achieving sustainable energy supply. we can see more clearly the importance of energy sources and the need to use them. In addition to the depletion of traditional energy sources, serious negative effects on the environment are inevitable during their use. Thus, during burning of solid or liquid fuels, Sulfur gas (SO2), Carbon dioxide (CO2), Nitrogen oxides (NOx), Methane (CH4) as well as dust, soot, etc. such harmful substances are formed, which causes considerable pollution of the environment and atmosphere. As a result, a "greenhouse effect" is created in the atmosphere, which leads to possible climate changes and global warming. According to estimates, tens of millions of tons of carbon dioxide (CO2) are released into the atmosphere every year from the burning of energy carriers extracted in the form of minerals. Thus, the gradual exhaustion of the existing traditional energy sources, as well as the high level of damage to the environment during their use, creates the need to replace these energy sources with alternative and renewable energy sources that are more reliable, non-depleting and have harmless effects on the environment. According to the classification of the International Energy Agency (IEA), alternative and renewable energy sources are divided into five groups: 1. Wind energy 2. Solar energy 3. Bioenergy 4. Geothermal energy 5. Hydropower (including ocean and sea swell) Considering all this, we can consider the traditional energy system based on minerals and nuclear energy as a primary system, and the unconventional energy system based on alternative and renewable energy sources as a new and modern strategic system.

Hello Nadir! This is your mentor Yewon.
Before I start, I apologize for the late comment.
You have written a report about renewable energy development, which is one of the most important factors contributing to sustainability!
You have well explained the reason why renewable energy is required, with reliable data and sources.
Besides, I recommend you write the source of the picture!
Thank you for your meaningful report! Great job!

Hello again Nadir! This is your mentor James.
And again, terribly sorry for the late comment!
I see that your topic of this report is renewable energy development! As you've mentioned, solar, wind, and hydro power are major fields of research in terms of renewable energy. I sincerely hope that by 2040, we can achieve a higher renewable energy percentage. Thanks for also mentioning the limitation with our traditional energy sources as well! What a helpful report.
Thanks for writing such a meaningful article! Let's keep up the good work.
