[April Thematic report] Air Pollution

by Nadir Huseynov | 25-04-2023 05:32 recommendations 0

Atmospheric pollution and its consequences are among the problems that deeply concern all mankind. At present, the main pollutant of the atmosphere is created both naturally and anthropogenically. As a result of natural pollution, volcanic eruptions and anthropogenic pollution occur when harmful gases are released into the air by various industries, including motor vehicles. Carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons, and nitrogen oxides are the main air pollutants from the construction of motor vehicles. According to research, a car that has traveled 20,000 kilometers emits 0.775 kilograms of lead, 40.75 kilograms of nitrogen oxides, 234 kilograms of hydrocarbons and 765 kilograms of carbon dioxide. Under the influence of sunlight, harmful waste undergoes chemical changes and is enriched with low-level, tropospheric ozone and various toxins of photochemical origin. toxic substances cause uncontrollable consequences for human life.

Experts believe that the most effective and unpleasant form of air pollution is smog, which is a mixture of gas, smoke, fog and dust. Smog, which is formed when water vapor condenses around small smoke particles, is specific to areas with heavy traffic in private large industrial cities. Smog is considered to be one of the most laden gases emitted by a car. During smog, there is a concentration of active substances in the air, which results in death. The smog that occurred in London in 1952 killed 4,000 people, and in 1984, 2,500 people died in Bhopal, India. Smog has indeed made people seriously ill. It reduces all his breathing and irritates his system

Hello again Nadir! This is your mentor Yewon.

Before I start, I apologize for the late comment.

This time you have written about air pollution, which was our april theme!
It was interesting that there were so much pollutants, according to the data you mentioned!
I hope you would think of the solutions of air pollution next time, too!

Thank you for your meaningful report! Great job!

Hello Nadir! This is your mentor James.

First of all, terribly sorry for the late comment!

I have to say, I love the part where you've illustrated the carbon and pollutant emission of an average car that travelled 20000km! 40kg of harmful nitrogen oxides and 234kg of hydrocarbons is just shocking. The car that our family is using travelled almost 60,000km, so that means it could've emitted 3 times the emission! I should seriously consider about using EVs instead...

Thanks for writing such a meaningful report! Let's keep up the good work.
