The Philippines is 3rd most vulnerable to climate change according to UN report

According to a report by the UN University's Institute for Environment and Human Security and the German Alliance Development Works, the Philippines ranks third in the list of countries most vulnerable to climate change.

The top 10 countries facing the highest risk are: Vanuatu, Tonga, the Philippines, the Solomon Islands, Guatemala, Bangladesh, Timor-Leste, Costa Rica, Cambodia and El Salvador.

Vanuatu ranks no. 1 because it is experiencing a fresh water shortage with a 32 per cent disaster risk. In no. 2 is Tonga which has 29.08 per cent. The Philippines ranks third with a 24.32-per cent disaster risk that means our exposure to natural disasters like storms, floods, earthquakes, droughts and sea level rise.
