China going through tough ordeals

by | 29-02-2012 22:53 recommendations 0

For the last thirty years, sea level in the Chinese city of Tianzhen had risen 20 centimeters, and if this goes on, low level harbor cities like Tianzhen, Shanghai, and Guangzhou might have danger of being submerged

The average sea level increase of Chinese coastal regions the last thirty years was 9 centimeters, and this problem is especially serious if the city has a harbor.

The Chinese government prospects that about the year 2050, the sea level of the delta zone of Changjiang (The Yangzi River) will experience a 20-60 centimeter rise compared to the year 2000. Shanghai in particular, is expected to have sea levels that are almost 75 centimeters higher than the past.

From 1963 to 2006, surface temperature of the Chinese coastal regions had risen 0.7 degrees, and that change is more dramatic in the winter-winter surface temperature had risen more than one degree.
