Smart Meters in Abu Dhabi (World Future Energy Summit )

by | 13-01-2014 12:52 recommendations 0

Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Authority, has introduced Smart Meters for electricity & water consumption at the households. The days are gone when an official visit the premises to record the meter readings. The billing systems are integrated with smart meters thus the data is directly sent without the human intervention.

UAE has the unwarranted distinction of being among World?s highest rates of power consumption per person. Therefore reducing this rate of consumption, reducing the cost of energy & smart meters will be the topics in World Future Energy Summit (WFES) in Abu Dhabi slated to be held in Masdar city on 20-22 Jan-2014.

This summit was attended by over 26K persons & 650 companies from 40 nations. This year the expectation is 30K personnel. This is world?s leading event committed to renewal energies, efficiency of energy & clean technologies.

Registration is open. I urge the students of UAE to register & visit this event in order to gain more knowledge for sustainable future.

The summit is starting today!^^ 'Smart meter' is a very interesting idea. Personal footstep is kinda recorded as a record. I guess that makes people more alert about energy consumption.
