Environmental Education, Grassroots Comics training

A five-day interactive Training  "Environmental Education, GrassrootsComics Training"  was arranged by the Bharat Gyan Samiti.
Held at the Tharu Government Inter College, the training kicked off on 01 January  and concluded on 5 January 2014.As many as 90+ participants including Students and teachers from 15 local schools participated in the workshop.

The intensive training primarily aimed at building up the participants? conceptual understanding about different themes of environment such as biodiversity, pollution, population growth and natural resource conservation. Mentors also encourage students to develop writing skills as well.

All students were showcasing their green idea through Comic/Magazine and they developed a hand written Magazine of their own named "Khatima Darpan".


Other objectives of the training programme included: enhancing participants? knowledge about environmental education, enhancing skills of developing tools and strategies for imparting environmental education to students and enabling the participants to plan environmental education programmes and activities at school levels.
