INTERACTION BETWEEN PLANTS AND ANIMALS

We know that plants are very useful for humans.  These plants depend upon soil for living.  Humans who are both vegetarians and non vegetarians, directly or indirectly depend upon plants. Plants depend upon animals, that is the degradable waste products from animals are helpful for the plants to grow and get nutrients from the wastes as natural manures.

How bacteria are helpful for plants

Plants need nitrogen for growth.  They cannot take nitrogen directly from air.  Some of the bacteria such as nitrogen fixing bacteria help plants to absorb nitrogen from soil.  This process is known as nitrogen fixation.

SOIL FERTILITY BENEFITS OF NO-TILL SYSTEMS

No-till systems can increase soil fertility and reduce erosion. They help soil retain moisture, decrease water runoff, prevent crusting and increase the long-term accumulation of organic matter. No-till soils are also able to retain more oxygen since they aren?t compacted by the heavy machinery used in conventional systems.

Thanks for highlighting , Guru. Food chain and ecosystem is all about interdependence of plants on animals and vice versa.
