UGANDA TO LOSE ALL ITS FORESTS BY 2050: STRATEGIES I'M PUTTING IN PLACE TO PLAY MY ROLE TO AVERT THIS. |

Shocking as it might appear, this fact has been presented by several organizations and it is not to far from now that is supposed to happen. Due to the excessive tree-lumbering activities in Uganda coupled with the fact that people hardly plant trees, this appears true. One of the projects I have in mind which is planting trees is to create a conference and a club to educate people on the importance of the environment and most importantly, the tree planting exercise. I have tried to make partnership with some organizations eg EcoFund and Earth Angels to partner with me in these events. I am still awaiting the business cards as my form of identification. Together we should say no to environmental degradation of any form. #TreePlanting #Uganda #Eco-Gen

Goldstar Nkenu!!! off to an explosive start.. Welldone! save Uganda forests, as it stands though they dont realise it, forests are the most important commodity.

Christy Lee, yes, it is indeed scary, my jaws dropped when I saw the newspaper article and I am determined to save it at all cost., help me pray that the organizations accept to sponsor the project

Thank you for sharing the initiative, Nkenu :) It's quite scary that Uganda will lose its forest by 2050. Because whenever I think about Uganda, I imagine green forest. But let's be positive, we can change our future by taking steps forward like participating this initiative.

A very Good initiative Nkenu.
People usually think of chopping down of trees as deforestation but there are other activities that degrade forest. we all should protect our forest from any kind of deforestation!! very true!

Very good steps you took , Nkenu , by partenering with EcoFund , Earth Angels and conducting conferences and forming club-really good job . There is nothing better than tree plantation to conserve and protect environment.
