Ethical Responsibility And Climate Change: We're All In The Same Boat- BY SIMRAN VEDVYAS

Everyday is said to be a new day and a new chance to do or learn something new and unique. Today I learnt more about climate change, its causes and how to reduce carbon footprint. Ms. Julia Hofstetter made a beautiful inspiring presentation at Emirates Environmental Group Community Lecture that focused on how we as individuals and corporate can work towards a low-carbon society.  This evening also gave a great boost to my environment endeavors and inspiring, wonderful work widened my views on this intense topic. Ms. Julia Hofstetter is the Head of Education at myclimate an NGO based in Zurich, Switzerland that is one of the many organizations who is in it for the benefit of the environment. Ms. Julia shared information on Carbon Offsetting, Improving efficiency and Renewable energy. She gave us examples about Population change, the Kyoto Protocol and the 1992 Rio summit to name a few. It makes me realize that if they could do it, so can we -the youth also and its time to change and be the change. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Emirates Environmental Group (EEG) for their continuous efforts to spread the awareness through Community Lectures and educate us on the present- day issues that have a bad future in-store for us.

Through such platforms and modes of communication and networking can we only achieve the common goal- Save our Environment and Save the Earth.

Just go for it and lets do it now.
