Mining stopped operating in Colombian

In Colombia is 49% of the moors World, 1,932,987 hectares are , keep in mind that the Constitution of Colombia , a judgment of the Constitutional Court and to the Mining Code , require the protection of the moors , 108 792 hectares in the country have already been concessioned to exploitation by multinational
The moors are having their 70 % of water in the country , due to the concessions of mining multinationals, this percentage will decrease significantly.

Even Al Gore Former Vice President of USA, spoke out against mining , participated in the International Environment Summit in Bucaramanga, Colombia and states : " We can not keep treating the atmosphere like an open pipe. We must put a price on CO2 pollution . No planet no economy worth , "he said " further stated that " Colombia has to choose between the gold of the moors, along with profits for a few people , or that supplies drinking water to all citizens ," he said .

This can place to think if we really an environmental control and proper protection of natural resources is the stop that not only generate water, as you can see in the photos, a is the Paramo de Sumapaz near the Capital Colombia , Bogota and the other at a Paramo involved in mining, process mining pollutes water sources , mercury , farmers in Colombia who live near these areas are even affected , there are people who are sick with cancer , children and girls who were born with malformations , have even died .

Is it more than Gold Water ?
With the mining extraction can quench the thirst of the people ?
Is there a real protection of ecosystems in Colombia ?
