Understanding movement and migration patterns of important species is essential for the overall conservation of species and the key sites they use. Keeping this in mind the Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi (EAD) has introduced conservation drones to keep a better eye on Greater Flamingo population at Al Wathba Wetland Reserve. The drones will help verify wildlife numbers, providing quality information and a more comprehensive understanding of the species being studied.
