Drones aid in UAE's biodiversity conservation

Understanding movement and migration patterns of important species is essential for the overall conservation of species and the key sites they use. Keeping this in mind  the Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi (EAD)  has introduced conservation drones to keep a better eye on Greater Flamingo population at Al Wathba Wetland Reserve.

The drones will help  verify wildlife numbers, providing quality information and a more comprehensive understanding of the species being studied.
