Environment Club of Budhanilkanta School organized tree plantation on the occasion of World Environment day. The program was just limited to tree plantation but it was also focused on awaring the students of our school regarding the environmental issues and the slogan of this year, ? Raise your voice not the sea level?.

There was overwhelming participation of the students as well as teachers and staffs, who planted trees of their choice within the large campus area of our school. The club has been organizing this program from long time back and this trend seems to continue forever. This initiation has lead our school to be probably the most green institution of our country.

This year program was a special one and over 400 trees were planted at various place. As many trees were cut off this year as many were more than 25 years old, the necessity of green plant was known to all. Besides that special mention was given to take care of trees and grow it  rather than just planting it.

All the students realized that growing trees required more responsibilities and everybody committed themselves to spare sometime regularly to take care of the trees  so that when they return to the school after long time after graduating they can proudly say to the juniors that they planted those trees which does good for every one.
