Mandatory Solar power - regulation |
---|
Many people talk about conservation of energy and protecting our environment in many forums, but when it comes down to implementation level, many initiatives are not implemented due to administrative issues and lack of regulations/laws in our society. Recently I come across one very positive news related to this issue and wish to share the same to this wonderful forum? For residential buildings of 500 square yards and above, located in municipal limits and in urban sectors, it would be made mandatory to install solar power plant of minimum one KW. All private schools, educational institutes, colleges, hostels, technical, vocational education institutes and universities having connected load of 30 KW and above will be required to have mandatory installation of solar power plant of 5 KW. This plant will cost around Rs.2.5 lakh (4200 US $). Source : Times of India |

I agree Unmesh, many initiatives are not implemented the world over.
This decision of Haryana Government to make solar power generation mandatory is applauding.
All major industries must follow this practice.
Thanks for sharing.
