Cattles particularly cows hold a special place in Hindu religion. They are worshipped by Hindu. This makes them even more special. They say serving a cow is equivalent to serving god. Thus, special care is given to these animals, but the scenario has changed due to rapid urbanization, commercialization of livestock farming. The semi urban streets are filled with these abandoned cows now a days. Major problems associated with these abandoned cows are- They make traffic control challenging. Every day numerous cases of vehicle accidents associated with hit and run case. Sometimes cattle try to attack the small vehicles and cycles and sometimes the vehicles hit them in return. Another problem associated with abandoned cattle are bulls especially during breeding seasons are very aggressive and sometimes hit humans around them. There are reported cases of humans being attacked by these cattle. Another major problem with these cattle is they are unattended by veterinarians these risks them being reservoir to many diseases to human and domestic animals. The biting or air they respire if they are infected are enough for any pandemic on that area. Another risk involved with them is their dead body remained unattained. This spreads foul smell all around the area and also risks animals and humans around them to get infected. The problem can be solved by two ways first is proper management of these street and abounded cattle. Additionally, strict rules to the owner not to abandon these unproductive cattle on the strict and their proper implementation should be done. |
