Clean up Nepal in collaboration with Changal Youth Club.Bishnumati safai Mahaaviyan, department of Forest, the Joy Foundation Nepal and Kathmandu Municipality Environment Management organized a "Tree Plantation" this earth day. The theme of the program was adoption of tree by interested individuals such that tree does get their name and also will be geo-tagged. Geo tagging shall help the owner with regular updates of the trees.
     Gifting a tree for the Earth is helping you to get a green life. About 50 participants planted about 86 trees on the bank of Bishnumati River which was used earlier used as a dumping site. Kathmandu Metropolitan City Environment Management Division and the department provided water and waste pick up services and Biocomp Pvt. Ltd. provided the compost manure. Clean Up Nepal aims to plant and take care of 10,000 trees by 2030.
