Community Unites for Cleaning Campaign |

Today residents of Chitrawan Municipality,Nepal united for cleaning and plastic management campaign. People cleaned the road and also collected waste plastic thrown hafazardously on the road. These are signal of pollution and a symbol of lack of awareness on such issues.So with people participation such problems can be minimised and the same thing happened today in coordination of local people and Municipality.
Wastes esp. Plastic materials collected were stored in a place in Milan Chowk for further consideration either to recycle themselves or to provide for plastic processing industry. Todays programme also decided for a grand Plantation program on Ward. 9 of Chitrawan Municipality on this Environment Day on June 5. The programme will a best ever and hope people will be more aware to such issues of environment from then. The programme description is provided below in Nepali :: चित्रवन नगर पालिका वडा न.९ स्थित गाउघर क्लिनिक टोल सुधार समितिको आयोजनामा टोल सरसफाई अभियान कार्यक्रम डेरी चोक बाट मिलन चोक सम्म सम्पन्न भयो । कार्यक्रम को उद्घाटन चित्रवन नगर पालिकाका कार्यकारी अधिकृत श्री राम चन्द्र अर्याल ज्यूबाट झाडुले बढारेर भएको थियो । समापन समारोहमा सभाध्यक्ष गाउघर क्लिनिक टोल समितिका अध्यक्ष श्री हरि प्रसाद नेउपाने रहनु भएको थियो भने प्रमुख अतिथि श्री राम चन्द्र अर्याल बिशिस्ट चित्रवन नगर पालिका परिषद्का सदस्य श्री बिष्णु हरि तिवारी ,बिशिस्ट अतिथि चित्रवन नगर पालिका का बातावरण विद श्री दीपा गुरुङ रहनुभएको थियो । अन्य अतिथिहरुमा वडा न. ९-का वडा संयोजक श्री भिम बहादुर भण्डारी ,मिलन क्लबका प्रतिनिधि ,मिलन बजार ब्यबस्थापन समितिका प्रतिनिधि ,लगाएत बिभिन्न महिला समुह हरुको उपस्थिति थियो भने कार्यक्रम संचालन टि.एम.गुरुङ ले गर्नु भएको थियो । सरसफाई कार्यक्रममा सयपत्री महिला समुह ,जागृति महिला समुह ,शान्ति कृषि महिला समुह ,दलित महिला जागरण मंच ,डाडागाउ महिला समुह लगाएत टोलबासी हरुको सहभागिता रहेको थियो।

Wow! I really felt proud to see women's group of my municipality actively involved in clean up campaign and plastic waste management.

Thank you for sharing the vivid report, Sujan. I was impressed by the women came out to the roads to improve the environment. Thumbs up for all campaigners participated in the clean up movement! :D
