This summer, I and my family visited the beautiful hill station of   Kodaikanal.  It was a beautiful place, where I was surrounded by nature. Various species of animals were abundant on this heaven on earth: Right from birds of different shapes, sizes and colours,strutting  about as if they knew how beautiful they were to numerous types of animals.

We had seen many animals on our trip. We had a close encounter with wild bison in our front lawn in the middle of the night, We also got to ride horses, see many birds and of  course there were the ever present monkeys.

But even more awe inspiring than these was the immense variety of flora!!  Kodaikanal boasts a vast variety of flowers having its own flower park. Here we got to see flowers like the dancing doll flower which looks like a ballerina in the middle of  a dance and many others I can?t even remember the names of.

I genuinely hope that the authorities of  Kodaikanal make an effort to conserve the natural beauty of this area as they always have.
