EMB to go online soon for hazardous waste registration |

The Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) is all set for its online registration of hazardous wastes transporters, clearances and facilities expected to be fully operational this year. EMB Hazardous Waste Management Section Chief Geronimo Sanez said the Online Manifest System was first developed in 2007 to assist the EMB in monitoring and processing data to track the use, treatment, storage and disposal of hazardous wastes. Some features of the system are online registration and processing of manifest, among others. EMB information technology specialists were recently trained to use and operate the online manifest system developed by Innogy Solutions. This was held last October 3 and 8-10, 2014 at the EMB Central Office and Lancaster Hotel Manila, respectively. Source: EMB website
