Warm greetings from Russia!
"Hydrogen sulfide attack on Moscow ended just as quickly and mysteriously as it began. Already on the 11 November to breathe was not that clean air, but in any case, not the aroma of rotten eggs. However, the source of the smell at the moment definitely not named. Urban services, prosecutors, environmentalists were involved in the investigation process. All the defendants deny any involvement possible "misconduct". Listen to the testimonies of witnesses "gas attack", start thinking: we just live in one of the largest cities in the world or on the test site? We can consider the most plausible versions:1. Leakage of hydrogen sulfide at the Moscow refinery in Kapotnya due to failure of treatment facilities.2. Korenovskii and Lyubertsy treatment facilities.3. The accident at the thermal power plants of Moscow.4. Another version is to drain butylmercaptan or other substances containing sulphur.5. Ejection of the mixture of gases in the industrial area "Rudnevo" or Moscow coke and gas plant. Good thing is: all the scholars unanimously noticed that no harmful effects on the human. And complaints about dizziness, sore throat and other ailments are likely to have been caused by psychological reasons - Moscovites simply were in panic. |

Hello Akeksandra,
I think that no matter what the cause was, even if unintentional, one should be careful. Luckily, this was not a serious accident and there was no harm done to people. However, in some cases, it can be more severe. For example, even Chernobyl was an accident, but look what it caused, it released radioactive particles that harmed and killed many people and it even caused cancers and deformities that are still present today
