Opportunities in Green Manufacturing

by | 19-12-2014 00:07 recommendations 0

The term "green" in green manufacturing has 2 meanings,
1. The manufacturing of green products, such as those used in renewable energy systems and clean technology equipment of all kinds, and

2. The greening of production, meaning by reducing pollution or waste by minimizing natural resources use and reducing emission.

The most thing that is going on, and is a great potential industry is the greening of production, which will be an advantage in the future regulations and classification of industry.

World's largest manufacturing economy are:
1. United States, producing 21% of global manufactured products.
2. China, 15%
3. Japan, 12 %
This is actually a chance for them or competing country to turn their industry to be more "green" and "zero carbon" as there would be a rapid growing renewable energy and clean tech sectors opportunities.

International organization such as the United Nations, and World Bank, are joined by a host of public, non-profit, and private sector organizations, such as the Carbon War Room and Carbon Disclosure Project in making notable progress when it comes to driving forward green manufacturing, green business methods and green practices.

Prominent environmental organizations and businesses are even bridging the divide that separate them, joining the efforts to conserve natural resources, natural habits, and biodiversity.

Thanks for the report, Muhammad. The world stands on crossroads today. The industrial & Technological progress has been phenomenal in last century & environmental damage also the maximum.
Now is the time to retrospect & try to minimize the damage & augment the progress. This can be achieved by adopting to Green manufacturing techniques.

You made a good point Muhammad :) Major industrial countries are the key for the environment protection as only 3 of them make up almost 50% of production all over the world. As our life is at stake due to climate change, turning to green manufacturing is highly required for sustainable future.

It is elating to note that international organisations such as UN and World Bank are taking green steps by joining eco-NGOs. UNEP too has taken numerous initiatives over the years encouraging green practices across the globe. It has taken small steps such as Clean up The World for children and youth as well as big steps such as the 'Billion Tree Campaign'. Thanks for enlightening us with this informative article Muhammad!
