The inhabitants of Bhadrak , Orissa -India observed the World Clay Day-2013 on June 16 by putting their entire bodies in mud and clay with a clear message of maintaining the purity of environment and saving it from all kinds of pollution. It is to be mentioned that the Limca Book of Records recognised the uniqueness of this day and covered it in the Limca Book of Records-2012 edition. Environment lovers under the leadership of environmentalist Radhakanta Tripathy put their bodies in mud and clay. Four of them wrote World Clay Day-2013 on their bodies in clay and spread the message of purity of environment through pure clay and mud. This is the fourth consecutive year the day was celebrated. It was in the year 1972 that there was an international convention on environment, which began on June 5 and ended on June 16. Since then, June 5 is celebrated as the World Environment Day. However, the World Clay Day is being celebrated on June 16 under the visionary activism of Radhakanta Tripathy from 2010. |

Very unique way. In any case, such activities will be useful only when people carry the message further on in their lives.
