Give A Ghaf - Tree Planting Programme |

The scorching heat was not a barrier for the team as we set on a mission of collecting Ghaf Pods. "Give A Ghaf " is tree planting programme aimed at increasing the number of Ghaf trees, the national tree of U.A.E.
We collected the ripened pods and also removed the seeds and collected it fro the tree planting ceremony to be held in October. It was really hot but Ghaf's shade kept us cool throughout the event. We were happy as we were actually helping them to protect the now fast disappearing Ghaf tree. We being a huge group collected almost 15 bags of Ghaf Pods. Also the managing director gave us a lot of facts and information about these Ghaf trees, which were really interesting. Soon we came to the end of the event. We felt really sad to go away from that place. I t was wonderful experience and I am looking forward for the tree planting ceremony.
