During my summer vacation I visited Al Qudra Lake in Dubai. It is a man-made lake which attracts hundreds of visitors daily. It is located at the middle of the Seih Al Salam desert and Bab Al Shams. It was made as part of a project to green and enrich that part of the desert of Dubai.
Al Qudra Lake is spread over 10 hectares, it is home to over 130 species of birds including starlings, eagles, falcons and flamingos. This man-made lake is situated in the middle of the desert and attracts new bird species.
This man-made lake is not only a home for a number of beautiful birds, but is also one of the most amazing spots to watch the sunrise. The temperature often falls to 15 degrees Celsius near the lake.
Al Qudra Lake in Dubai is becoming one of most popular destinations for residents on their weekends. I saw a number of fishes and birds there, which was a lovely sight for me and my family. It is a home to many released exotic and native bird species. The area is open and accessible any time of the day.
