International Coastal Clean Up Day

by Sainath Manikandan | 02-10-2018 19:53 recommendations 0

International (World) Cleanup Day was last week (September 15), however there is still plenty of work to do to help our oceans. The International Coastal Cleanup Day is an annual event with volunteers from over 112 countries around the world participating in collecting trash and protecting the environment. For this event, a 'beach clean-up over a 3 kilometer coastline activity', will happen at the Jebel Ali Marine Sanctuary. Along with the coastal cleanup, snorkeling was also included as an activity.
Many of the kids and adults took an active part in protecting our environment and our planet from pollution.

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA)?s initiative in protecting the planet was well supported by the public.
