Permit To Kill A Rhino

by | 13-01-2014 04:08 recommendations 0

In Namibia, Africa a permit to hunt a black rhino sold for $350,000 at an auction in Dallas with the funds earned to be used for protecting endangered animals.

The auction was held despite the protests from animal rights group.

The license allows the killing of a single rhino, with wildlife officials of Nambia.

The hunt will help in reducing the population of the rhinos and would provide funds for the govt. to protect the wildlife from poachers.

The permit was given because the males were higher in number and often kill younger ones.

Nearly 75,000 people signed an online petition to stop the sale.

The majority of Black Rhinos in the world are in South Africa followed by Nambia.

How they will ensure that only ONE rhino will be killed. Poor animal, what's the sin it has committed to die. Who has given the permit to human beings to kill?

WWF(World Wildlife Fund) has been campaigning against the illegal poaching of endangered species for years..It is really cruel of people. I think WWF is a good source to find what we can do how to stop this madness..

Instead of killing the male rhinos it would have been better to shift the excess of rhinos to other place and increase in its population..thank you Humaid for sharing this important news

It is really cruel, I think. Raising money to save dozens is not fair if it means even a single rhino has to be the prey of human fantasy. Instead other actions can be done to raise funds for saving the endangered ones like photography etc.

It's hard to understand. Giving certificates to kill endangered species? Even worse, they doing it to protect wildlife from poachers? It's really hard to understand.
