Critical Phase in the Environmental Policy Plan

by Ishimwe Eric Josue | 20-10-2018 21:39 recommendations 0

We have been mentioning most of the policies that can be deployed in our countries on this platform though we did not give it a specific attention. Different measures have been taken to resolve the challenge but some uncertainties arisen from the implementation process. When they are not well implemented, they seem threats as do the solution they offer when they are well implemented. Suitable environmental policies are the ones that solve the challenge and meet environmental expectations as they are result based policies.

The challenge is that when they are written on the papers they seem appropriate to address the issue but we still face some of the same challenges and here comes the question where is the problem. If the study identified the challenge with accurate and adequate data, then why our policies collapse. I think the problem is how governments, civil societies and international organization implement as well as enforce the policies to be more result oriented. May be there is a need to refine the implementation phase.

Back to my continent, Africa¡¯s energy sector is a significant growing economy. As we thrive for continental energy efficiency, implementation phase is still critical and different policies should be enforced within the sector to ensure the appropriate use of the energy in the environmental friendly manner as well as finding alternatives for more accurate result. Alternative energy policy had been failing in different regions around the continent because of the ageing infrastructures that need to be renewed.

The prosperity of Africa is based on how well we manage our energy sector. This will be measured based on the outcomes of different sectors (result based management). The mostly essential check points based on the purpose of this report include environmental, and health aspects. The appropriation of monitoring and evaluating energy sector in the effective manner should be put forth-ward. In that way we may come up with something quit concrete.

By closing it is a global concern that we are facing critical environmental situation where global warming is the centered issue. We need to come along to address this global issue; as other continents strive to improve the condition, we Africans should give a hand as well. It is not only China that is going to face the effects as the largest worldwide energy economy, it is the whole world in other words, small countries and large ones, poor countries and rich ones, and everyone is going to face the effects. Therefore we should take this more seriously by doing our best to enhance the implementation phase with result based control.

Hello Ishimwe, internal and external problems are to do every aspect of our living. Though we are fully responsible or not, it is true that human beings make surrounding and environment worse.
Like you said, all the problems should be considered in collective and relative, precise sectors and aspects.
    Thanks for your report!

    Hello Ishimwe
    It is true that
'everyone is going to face the effects.'
The environment is an interconnected system that will affect the world in a whole and no one will be able to get away from the impacts.
To make good policies real, the implementation should be more cautiously managed and needs continuous feedbacks so that it would keep on good tracks!
    Thanks for the repor:)
