Food is basic need and right of human beings. It is responsibility of a state to provide food and other basic needs. Pakistan is an agricultural Country, so it is quite unacceptable for an agricultural Country to face in shortages in food such as wheat, rice etc Main cause of food shortage Climate change effect, land related problems, water mismanagement, use of low quality seed, financial limitations, growing population, energy crisis, increasing poverty, Child labour. Food waste also main cause of food shortage in Pakistan Most reception dinner take place in mid night so hungry people rush towards the food tables filling their plates, half of food in their plates is uneaten and goes to waste. means main food wastage occur at hotel banquets and major hotel in karachi, Lahore Islamabad. Food waste impact on soil and land degradation. agriculture cultivation, transportation uses fuel and produces emission, use of fertilizers and pesticides and electricity all these resources go to waste when food is wasted. Suggestions: Climate change is a certain phenomena affecting the global temperature sustain investment in agriculture sector to develop new varieties that are better adapted to the changing climate are needy of the day, Government's collect waste food and distribute needy of the day, Need for sustain plan for conservation and efficient use of water, Develop urban forming for reduce food waste, ban on serving more than two food dishes in marriages halls. The government needs to take action to overcome food problem and ensure sufficient food for human beings.

This is your mentor Lisa.
Food waste is a serious threat to the environment and also the food shortage as well in my country too. I believe that this paradoxical problem that we face is not only limited to the domestic domain but also happens throughout the world on a global scale.
In one part of the world, people starve to death yet in other parts people die of diseases due to overfeeding and massive amounts of food waste is being produced.
Some say that it is time for us to focus on how we distribute the goods instead of trying to produce more or to enhance the efficiency of it.

It's something that we have to think about!

Food is probably the most frequent way people interact with their surrounding nature. However, many people seem to not be as aware of the importance of that fact as they should be. Huge amount of resources can be saved and used for other productive purposes if food wastes are reduced.
